Despite some false starts and dashed hopes, and a wait of 23 years, the campaign finally bore fruit. This archive covers some of the correspondence and hard work that went into getting the City of Birmingham to stage speedway again. |

Heat 14 – Complin v Harrison v Moller v PowellLee Complin for Stoke came off a 15-metre handicap, but he had his work cut out to get his double points. Ben Powell made life easier for him when he fell, causing the race to be rerun.
