| | | Campaign ArchiveEver since speedway closed at Bordesley Green, the campaign to find an alternative venue continued. Despite some false starts and dashed hopes, and a wait of 23 years, the campaign finally bore fruit. This archive covers some of the correspondence and hard work that went into getting the City of Birmingham to stage speedway again. |

Track Cabling54 viewsMuch of the work carried out in the past week is not immediately visible. The reason for this is that it is underground. There were cables dug into the ground around the outside of the fence. The cables will power the red “Stop” lights and also the PA system speakers.

Fourth Bend Exit58 viewsThe view here is from the fourth bend as it heads into the home straight and to the finish line. The white marker pegs are in the ground to act as a guide for the contractors. I have taken the liberty to play dot-to-dot to enhance the imaginary line of the track.
