We are now into the last year of the three that the Council originally gave us Planning Permission for. By the end of this season, we will know if Speedway comes to an end or if the Brummies have a future.

You can help shape the decision making process. The support of as many people as possible is needed to secure our future. We know that there will be campaigners who will object to the Planning Permission application, but with your help, we can ensure that the best chance is given for the Council to allow speedway to continue.

How you can help is simple quick and will just cost you little more than a little of your time. There are basically two things that you can do. You can write your own letter to the Planning Department, and you can e-mail the Planning Department and also the Councilors on the Planning Committee.

You will need to enter the Application number, which is 2009/02660/PA

Please take the time to send the letter. We have started out a letter that you can use to write to the Planning Committee, to voice your support to them. We have also added a helpful hints list that will sum up all the points that most people raise when giving reasons for why the Speedway should continue. You can use this as an "aide memoire" or a prompter to what you want to say in support of your application. At its very simplest, all you need to do is to copy and paste the letter that we have written out below, paste it into Microsoft Word (or similar Word Processing software), print it out, add your message of support, sign it, and post it in an envelope.
